Nickname: Hendrix
Born: November 12, 1978
Home Town: Jacksonville, FL
Born in Jacksonville Florida, Hendrix spent the early years of his life constantly traveling as a military dependant until finally settling down in Summerville,SC. Throughout his youth he was a loner never trying to fit in and keeping to himself, music was his one true passion.
After High School he was in and out of several local bands, searching for the perfect ingredients for the perfect sound.
While persuing his muscal ambitions Hendrix often took roles as extras on major motion picture sets for extra money. After being cast in the movie
"The Legend of Bagger Vance" Hendrix had saved up enough money to purchase a motorcycle. A few weeks later he was struck by a speeding truck and that nearly claimed his life. He spent the next long months of bed rest at his best friend's house healing.
During this time
he began writing and arranging music with his best friend that eventually led to the formation of the band "Mode 6". While the only evidence of any music from that time is scattered amongst some cassette tapes, those songs did lead to another project called "T.R.U.S.T." which received
regular rotation on a local radio station. They also landed a single called "Times Buyer" on the Cat's Music Compliation CD in 2001.
During the next several years, Hendrix went on to persue his dream of writing and performing the challenging craft of visionary vocals
combined with melodic guitar writing. Still constanly searching for those ingredients to the perfect band, he was contacted by OverDrive for their vocalist position. After one audition he had sealed the job as his own and finally he had found that recipe he had searched for his entire life.
